INGLEWOOD : Man, 22, Killed in Drive-By Shooting
Police say they are baffled by the shooting death of an Inglewood motorist early Monday morning.
Alvin George, a 22-year-old part-time student who was driving his parents’ car, was killed after a single shot was fired from a passing auto near the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and 104th Street, said Inglewood Police Detective Russ Enyeart.
George’s car cruised to a stop about four blocks away. The three passengers in George’s car were not injured.
Police have not made any arrests or established a motive. “We haven’t got anything,” Enyeart said.
The detective said the gunman may have fled westbound on 104th in a white Chevy Caprice.
