Stage Lineup at the Fair: No Surprises

A new organization has booked the shows, but music fans attending the Orange County Fair this year won’t see much change in the range and level of attractions at the ’95 edition of the annual event.

SMG Facility Management, the company recently contracted to run the fairgrounds’ big venue, the Pacific Amphitheatre, has programmed a 17-night run of shows in keeping with past years’ blend of country, rock oldies, comedy and youth-oriented pop-R&B.; The acts will perform in the 8,500-seat Pacific Amphitheatre, but most of them have played 500-capacity clubs or 2,000-seat theaters in past Orange County appearances.

All shows start at 7:30 p.m. and are free with regular fair admission of $6 (with discounts for seniors, teens and children). Information: (714) 708-3247. The lineup is as follows:

* July 8--classic-rocker Stephen Stills.

* July 9--country band Shenandoah.

* July 10--pop-R&B; vocal group All 4 One.

* July 11--pop singer Melissa Manchester.

* July 12--comedian Richard Jeni & Friends.

* July 13--rock oldies act Paul Revere & the Raiders.

* July 14--pop singer Jamie Walters (of the “Beverly Hills 90210” cast).

* July 15--rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Famer Little Richard.

* July 16--country singer Woody Lee.

* July 17--R&B; band Kool and the Gang.

* July 18--pop-jazz instrumentalists Richard Elliot and Craig Chaquico.

* July 19--roots rocker Brian Setzer & his Orchestra.

* July 20--country singer Marty Stuart.

* July 21--mellow pop oldies band the Association.

* July 22--pop-metal band Firehouse.

* July 23--pop singer Vicki Carr.
