Hicks Wins Main Event in Speedway Program

COSTA MESA — Gary Hicks won the four-lap scratch main event of the weekly speedway motorcycle racing program Friday night at the Orange County Fairgrounds.
Hicks beat Bobby Schwartz, who finished second. Jim Estes was third, Gary Ackroyd fourth and John Aden fifth.
Mark Hannah won the handicap main event with Shawn McConnell second and Hicks third.
