Young Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident
A 21-year-old man was killed Saturday when he lost control on a turn and was thrown from his motorcycle, police said.
Mark Lamson was riding his Kawasaki Ninja on Dale Vista Lane in a residential area about 2:45 a.m. when he failed to slow at a T-shaped intersection, Lt. Chuck Thomas said.
While making the turn, Lamson was thrown from the bike and into a parked car.
The motorcycle hit a curb and flipped over a brick planter, landing on a lawn.
Paramedics treated Lamson at the scene, then took him to Huntington Beach Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
He was not wearing a helmet.
