Three men who left a bag of cash on a car seat while they stopped for lunch at a Burger King in Garden Grove were arrested there on suspicion of robbing a bank less than an hour earlier, police said.

The robbery had occurred at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday about 20 miles away at the Wells Fargo Bank in the 700 block of South Weir Canyon Road in Anaheim. Three men, two armed with handguns, escaped with a bag of cash in a black sports car, Anaheim Police Lt. Ted Labahn said.

Witnesses described the car to police, who tracked it from a helicopter over the Costa Mesa Freeway to the Garden Grove Freeway and off at Valley View Street, police said.
