Woman, 83, Dies After Her Car Hits Tree

LAKE FOREST — An 83-year-old woman died Sunday afternoon after her car slammed into a tree when she apparently suffered a stroke.
Her name was not released pending notification of relatives. She was leaving a restaurant parking lot in the 23600 block of El Toro Road about 2:20 p.m. when she appeared to suffer the stroke, Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Rex Hatch said. Her car was traveling about 60 m.p.h. when it hit the tree.
She was taken to Mission Viejo Community Hospital, where she died from injuries about 4 p.m., Hatch said.
