SANTA ANA : Teen Who Was Shot in Market Lot Dies

A teen-ager who was shot in the head while waiting for his family in a supermarket parking lot has died, authorities said.
Julio Sarinana, 17, of Santa Ana was sitting in the passenger seat of a car in the 1200 block of West 1st Street about 6 p.m. Wednesday when someone walked up and shot him through an open window, police Sgt. Dick Faust said. Sarinana was transported to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he died a day later.
Police said Sarinana was a gang member. Investigators said they have no motive or suspects.
