VENTURA : Man Accused of Breaking Into Office
- Share via
It’s perhaps one of the most unusual ways to retain the services of an attorney.
Authorities said David Randall Garcia, 30, of Ventura, remained in Ventura County Jail on Tuesday after his arrest late Monday on suspicion of breaking into a Ventura attorney’s office and then hiding in a closet.
At 10:30 p.m., Garcia entered the fourth-floor office of attorney Steve Peterson through a sliding glass window, which tripped a burglar alarm, alerting Ventura police and Peterson, Lt. Don Arth said.
Upon their arrival, officers found Garcia hiding in a closet, Arth said. Nothing was stolen and Garcia was arrested without incident. He was being held at the jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
