An expert on how current immigration policies affect the local economy is scheduled to speak Monday at the Valley Senior Service and Resource Center in Reseda.

Aurelius Morgner, a semi-retired professor of economics at the University of Southern California, will kick off a series of meetings on current issues at the center led by members of USC’s Emeriti College in a discussion called “The Economic, Political and Social Pros and Cons of Immigration.”

The series will serve as a forum for retired and semi-retired USC professors who want to remain active in their disciplines to share their findings with the community.
