The Dodgers’ 7-1 victory over the Montreal Expos Wednesday night was Tom Lasorda’s 1,500th as Dodger manager.

“When you reach [a milestone] like that, it’s only because the players who have played for you are No. 1,” Lasorda said. “Second, I had a patient owner, and third, I’ve had general managers that I’ve worked under who have been understanding, and No. 4, I’ve had a great coaching staff and trainers over the years.”
