14-Year-Old Boy Arrested in Fatal Shooting of Man
A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in the Saturday night shooting of a man who was found dead in an alley near Leimert Park, police said Monday.
Julio Daniel Cobon, 31, died of multiple gunshot wounds after becoming involved in a confrontation with the boy in an alley behind the 3800 block of South Western Avenue, said Detective Paul Mize of the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Bureau homicide division.
The name of the suspect was not released because of his age.
Mize said the suspect and the victim had a confrontation during the day Saturday, several hours before the shooting. The shooting occurred about 9 p.m. Saturday.
