U.S. Men’s Soccer Team Deserves Wider Coverage

In the last 24 months, the U.S. men’s soccer team made the most remarkable development in professional sports history. No other team has progressed so rapidly from relative obscurity to become a proven international contender in any sport, not to mention the world’s most popular.

The last two weeks, U.S. soccer’s most glorious, were acclaimed throughout North and South America with the exception of one country, the United States. [Considering the games were unavailable on free] TV here, once again the networks and sponsors decided that regional tractor pull semifinals were more important than the United States showing the world its own winning style of soccer.

Put the game on TV--the public will soon appreciate it, the youth will embrace it, and who knows what championship could be next?
