HUNTINGTON BEACH : CPR Class Offered at Golden West College
A workshop in cardiopulmonary resuscitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Room 117 of the Recreation Education Building at Golden West College, near Edinger and Gothard streets.
The CPR course, offered by the college’s Community Services Department, will teach people how to save lives in emergencies. The $39 fee includes a manual issued to each participant.
“In addition to CPR techniques for adults, children and infants, participants will learn rescue breathing and the Heimlich Maneuver” for aiding people who are choking, said Lori Thomas, a spokeswoman for the college.
Nancy Henry-Johnson, a certified American Heart Assn. life-support instructor, will conduct the workshop.
