SAN CLEMENTE : Middle-Aged Man Robs Bank of $2,200

A middle-aged man held up a California Federal Bank on Wednesday, leaving with $2,200, sheriff’s officials said.
The man was described as white, about 55 years old, 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a California Angels cap, sunglasses and a white T-shirt, Sheriff’s Lt. Jay Mendez said.
Officials said the man entered the bank at 570 Camino de Estrella about 11:25 a.m. and showed a teller a demand note. No weapon was seen.
The man was last seen going eastbound on foot on Camino de Estrella, Mendez said.
The FBI is investigating the robbery, officials said.
