Boy, 5, Hit by Car, Is in Critical Condition

WESTMINSTER — A 5-year-old boy who was hit by a car and dragged 60 feet was in critical condition Friday night.
The child, Fai Chi Fong of Garden Grove, ran across 21st Street in the middle of the block and in front of oncoming traffic at 6:45 p.m. Friday. A car struck him and dragged him 60 feet before the driver could stop, Lt. Bill Lewis said.
The child’s parents, who were visiting nearby, did not witness the accident.
The boy was treated at UCI Medical Center in Orange for major head and body trauma, police said. He was in critical condition Friday night.
No arrests were made and the accident is still under investigation, Lewis said.
