OUTLOOK

In only their second full season of varsity competition, the Wolverines--with 23 lettermen returning--appear to be in position to challenge for the league title, though it’s difficult to pencil them in as outright favorites. They just missed the playoffs last year, finishing fourth. Most of the juniors have spent three years together, so cohesiveness should be an advantage for the young team. Nemeth, the offensive catalyst, led a group of four players who were all-league last season, including Schafer, Gerasimou and Hefty. The Wolverines should be most strong on defense, but must avoid giving up the big play--a weakness last year.
