OUTLOOK

Moving to 11-man football has stirred excitement on the Capistrano Valley Christian campus. None of the Eagles, though, are happier than the man who leads the charge into the Victory League. “I’m very excited about it,” Martin said. “My first eight-man practice was my first practice when I came here. My background is in 11-man football, it’s what I’m most comfortable with, and the kids have adapted to it very well. Plus, it really helps from a credibility standpoint. All of our stats will be counted together with all the other 11-man schools.” Martin said the offense will be built around Williams and Wolfsburger. Martin is intrigued by the potential Staples has displayed. “He’s a great athlete,” Martin said. “He’ll play a lot in the defensive backfield.”
