San Gabriel Valley : 4 Named to Superior, Appellate Courts

Three San Gabriel Valley residents have been appointed to the Los Angeles County Superior Court by Gov. Pete Wilson, while a fourth was named an associate justice of the 2nd District Court of Appeal.

David S. Milton, 45, of Claremont, assistant chief trial counsel for the State Bar of California, will replace retired Superior Court Judge Burton Bach.

Milton served as a Los Angeles County Municipal Court judge from 1987 to 1992 and was previously a deputy district attorney for the county.

Pasadena Municipal Judge Terry A. Green, 48, will replace retired Superior Court Judge Eric Younger.

Green was a Los Angeles County deputy district attorney from 1972 to 1987.

Wendell Mortimer, 58, a San Marino trial attorney and former lawyer for Caltrans, will replace Superior Court Judge Robert Olson, who retired.

Superior Court Judge John Zebrowski, 47, of La Canada was appointed to the state 2nd District Court of Appeal in Los Angeles, replacing retired Justice Donald Gates.

Zebrowski has been a Superior Court judge since 1986 and was previously a judge pro tem and court commissioner for four years.

Zebrowski’s appointment is subject to confirmation by the Commission on Judicial Appointments.
