Schools : Education news : SOUTH COUNTY : 6 Grade Schools Get New Principals
Six elementary schools in the Saddleback Valley Unified School District have new principals this fall.
They are Kim Ambrose at San Joaquin; Bonnie Chadd at De Portola; Kathy Clark, Trabuco; Bob Gaebel, Lake Forest; Bob Glew, Del Lago; and Kathleen Wright, Montevideo.
Ambrose came to the district from the Capistrano Unified School District, where she was an assistant principal.
Chadd has been a teacher in the district since 1978 and most recently worked on special assignment at Foothill and Del Lago elementary schools.
Clark joined the district in 1987 as a teacher and was named the district’s coordinator for Gifted and Talented Education program in 1989. In her new position, she will continue her GATE duties.
Gaebel joined the district in 1985 and has been principal at Olivewood, La Tierra and Montevideo elementary schools.
Glew worked for 24 years as an elementary and intermediate principal in Ohio public schools before coming to the Saddleback Valley district.
Wright began working in the district in 1979 as a teacher. She was most recently the principal of San Joaquin Elementary School.
