Camarillo’s Pinuelos Moves to Boys’ Track

Sam Pinuelos, the girls’ track and field coach at Camarillo High for the past three years, has taken over the boys’ program at the school.

Pinuelos, 33, replaces one-year interim coach Mike Smith, who guided the Scorpions to a third-place finish in this year’s Marmonte League finals.

Smith, the boys’ cross-country coach since 1982, will probably continue to coach the distance runners during track.
