3 Arrested After Monthlong Narcotics Investigation
Authorities have arrested three Ventura Avenue-area men on suspicion of selling narcotics after a monthlong investigation, police said Saturday.
Jose Villagomez, Lorenzo Gonzales and Abel Pinion-Hernandez were taken into custody about 7:30 p.m. Friday, police said. Their arrests followed an investigation during which an undercover officer bought a quarter-pound of cocaine, police said.
After the purchase, detectives from the Ventura/Oxnard Narcotic Enforcement Team obtained search warrants for four Ventura homes where they seized about seven ounces of cocaine with a street value of $7,000, two firearms and $9,000 in cash, police said.
The men were taken to the Ventura County Jail.
Villagomez, 36, and Gonzales, 21, were released on their own recognizance, according to jail officials. Pinion-Hernandez, 21, was still in custody Saturday.
