La Habra? It’ll Never Catch On
Fullerton was once La Habra.
The city was established in 1887 and named in honor of George H. Fullerton, president of Pacific Land & Trust Co. But Fullerton was removed as head of the firm, and the town’s name was changed to La Habra.
The new name was not popular, though, and the town became Fullerton again.
