The Ventura County district attorney’s office filed murder charges on Thursday against a Camarillo man accused of shooting his brother in the chest, killing him.

Police arrested Randy Waggoner, 37, in Victorville about 4 a.m. Tuesday on suspicion of shooting Tracey Waggoner, 36, in Camarillo five hours earlier.

The brothers had been drinking and arguing before the shooting, police said.

About 11 p.m. Monday, Tracey Waggoner confronted Randy Waggoner outside their parents’ house on Cartegena Street. Randy Waggoner was puncturing his brother’s tires with a knife, police said.
