SUSPECT SOUGHT: Santa Monica police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who has kidnaped, raped and robbed three women in the past eight days.

The armed suspect has approached women getting in or out of their cars along Pico Boulevard in Santa Monica, police said. He orders the women to drive to a dark location, where he sexually assaults and robs them, said Sgt. Gary Gallinot of the Santa Monica Police Department. The most recent attack was about 4 a.m. Sunday as a woman came out of a doughnut shop.

The man is described as an African American, 25 to 30 years old, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 170 to 185 pounds. He has short hair and a clean-cut appearance, Gallinot said.
