State lawmakers in Washington approved a financing plan for a $320-million, state-of-the-art ballpark they hope will keep the Mariners in Seattle. The plan involves a combination of state revenue, a new lottery game, $45 million from the Mariners, and three tax increases in King County. The tax increases must still be approved by the county council.
