Police have arrested three teen-age boys in connection with the slaying of a Long Beach travel agent.
Steven Sea, 33, the owner of Khmer Hangsa Travel Agency, was shot to death in front of his three young daughters Oct. 6 as he was working at the business in the 1300 block of Dawson Avenue. An elderly woman in the office was pistol-whipped in the attack, and an undetermined amount of cash was stolen.
On Thursday, police arrested two boys--ages 14 and 15--in connection with the case. Another 15-year-old boy was arrested Sunday, said Long Beach Police Cpl. Josef Levy.
The suspects, whose names are being withheld because they are juveniles, are believed to be members of a Long Beach gang, Levy said.
Because of their ages, the suspects could be tried in Juvenile Court, with a far lesser potential sentence. But, Levy said, “We are adamantly seeking to try these individuals as adults due to the gravity of these events.”
