Could There Be Method to This TV Madness?
It simply astonishes me that any baseball executive with half a brain could have agreed to the nature of the abysmal television coverage of this year’s playoffs. Out of pure curiosity, I’m going to stay tuned to the World Series to see exactly how they screw up an event that should be network-proof.

The media have explained that the ridiculous scheme of baseball playoff games on TV is the result of stupidity on the part of the baseball leagues and the networks.
Bull!
The reason is simple: After a few years of the present system, all games will be shown, but only on pay TV. There will be all sorts of wailing and gnashing of teeth, but enough die-hard fans will sign up to pay-for-view to make lots of bucks.
