Lavishing Money on City Manager
* It is unbelievable that the city of Thousand Oaks has given its already overpaid city manager $23,000 outright and an additional $12,000 loan toward the purchase of a new Chevy Suburban--while at the same time contemplating cuts in public services, including street sweeping and school crossing guards.
Of course these are the same experienced money wasters who brought the community the $150,000 curtain on the $64-million eyesore adjacent to the freeway.
Thank God I don’t live in Thousand Oaks, but I urge those who do to demand more responsible, responsive government.
