Police Shoot Suspect During Drug Search
Glendale narcotics officers shot a suspect in the shoulder when he attacked them as they served a search warrant on his Tujunga home, Glendale police said Friday.
Narcotics investigators served the warrant about 9:30 p.m. Thursday at the home of Andrew William Rutherford, 34, in the 10700 block of Mt. Gleason Avenue, Sgt. Bruce Fox said.
As the investigators searched the residence, Rutherford assaulted one and was shot in the left shoulder, Fox said. He was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and taken to County-USC hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries, Fox said.
