St. Francis 22, St. Bernard 15--Darin Maxwell’s two-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter proved to be the difference for St. Francis, which snapped a three-game losing streak at St. Bernard.
St. Bernard’s Jerome Havens led all rushers with 203 yards in 22 carries.
St. Francis (7-3, 2-3) opened the scoring early in the first period on John Carnivale’s three-yard touchdown pass to Robert Milton. Milton also ran for 59 yards in 16 carries.
The Golden Knights got a 42-yard field goal from Chris Palic, then extended their lead to 15-7 before offensive lineman Kip Portz scored on a 29-yard run on a fumblerooski play.
