Warren Moon threw a 50-yard touchdown pass, his fourth of the day, to Qadry Ismail with 12:44 left in overtime Sunday to lift the Minnesota Vikings to a 30-24 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

Minnesota (5-5) won its second consecutive game following a three-game losing streak. The Vikings are 2-2 in overtime games this year.

Moon completed 24 of 43 passes for 342 yards. He had touchdown passes of 32 yards to Jake Reed, and five and two yards to Cris Carter.

Minnesota took a 24-16 lead with 12:17 left in regulation. But the Cardinals drove 80 yards, with Dave Krieg throwing a two-yard touchdown pass to Wendall Gaines and a two-point conversion pass to Rob Moore.

Arizona (3-7), which lost its second game in a row, never got the ball in overtime, even though the Vikings started from their own 16-yard line after a holding penalty.

Moon’s first pass on the final drive was incomplete, but then he found Carter for 29 yards and Andrew Jordan for five before another incompletion.

On the winning pass, Ismail crossed from right to left, caught the ball in the middle and broke into the clear at about the 35-yard line.

Fuad Reveiz opened the scoring with a 43-yard field goal, and after that it was all Moon and his Vikings receivers.

Krieg threw a 9-yard scoring pass to Moore in the second quarter, bringing the Cardinals back to a 10-7 deficit, and Greg Davis kicked 39-, 44- and 44-yard field goals over a 10-minute span of the second and third quarters.

The Cardinals had two big plays back-to-back during the drive to tie the game: a 32-yard run by Garrison Hearst, who finished with 103 yards in 18 carries, and a 27-yard pass from Krieg to Frank Sanders at Minnesota’s three.

Minnesota got its field goal after John Randle sacked Krieg, and Jeff Brady recovered on Arizona’s 43. The Vikings went ahead 17-7 with 1:11 left in the half after rookie Orlando Thomas picked off a Krieg pass at Arizona’s 38.

The Cardinals squeezed nine plays into the remaining time, moving from their own 23 to the Vikings 21, where Davis kicked the 39-yarder with one second left.
