Joseph Tagaloa

Saddleback, Sophomore

Football/Running back

Tagaloa has been quite a find for the Roadrunners this season, starting at tailback from the start. Thursday, he finished his first varsity season with a flourish, running for 274 yards and four touchdowns in a 49-34 Golden West League victory over Ocean View. He scored on runs of 21, 50, one and nine yards. “They weren’t wide-open touchdowns,” Saddleback Coach Jerry Witte said. “He had to make some moves. The line got him past the line of scrimmage and he did the rest.” Tagaloa also made an interception to end Ocean View’s final possession.
