Speaking of Snubs ...

Share

I couldn’t believe it when I read that George Clooney (“ER”) thought his series had been “snubbed” at the Emmy Awards this year and was indignant that “NYPD Blue” won best drama series.

Yes, “ER” is excellent and the entire cast is superb. But if you really want to know what snubbing is, look at “Homicide: Life on the Street.”

Not only is it the best drama I’ve seen in years, but Andre Braugher is by far the best actor I’ve watched in years. If he doesn’t get the Emmy for best actor next year, I will give up my last shred of faith in the Emmys as any standard of excellence.
