Man Fatally Shot During Fight at Party

A 26-year-old man was shot to death outside a Hollywood apartment building Saturday night after getting into an argument about what type of music should be played at a birthday party he was attending, police said.
As the disagreement broke out during the party in a second-floor apartment in the 600 block of Oxford Avenue, one guest drew a handgun and fired a shot into the ceiling. Several party-goers took their argument outside, where they began fighting.
In the fracas, a gunman--police do not know whether it is the same man who fired into the ceiling--shot the the victim, who stumbled to an intersection down the street and collapsed, according to investigators. The gunman fled.
