Museum’s Fir Named Official Holiday Tree
The noble fir in the lobby of the Ventura County Museum of History and Art in Ventura is the county’s official Christmas tree, the Board of Supervisors decided Tuesday.
“It seems appropriate because this is a magnificent tree,” Board of Supervisors Chairwoman Maggie Kildee said. “It is worthy of being recognized by the county.”
The 12-foot tree has been decorated with shimmering balls and lights by Ventura artist Tony Real.
The nonprofit museum is at 100 E. Main St.
