Caleb Gervin of Cathedral City High scored 40 points against Brawley and 27 against Calexico last week. Gervin, a sophomore, is the nephew of former star George Gervin, who won four NBA scoring titles. Caleb Gervin said his famous uncle sends him instructional video tapes occasionally and has seen tapes of Caleb: “He said I wasn’t a true Gervin--I pass the ball too much.”
