Obituaries : John Jaco; Longtime Railroad Conductor

John Jaco, a longtime Thousand Oaks resident and railroad worker, died Thursday at home. He was 80.

Jaco was born in Tennessee and worked 41 years as a railroad conductor for Southern Pacific. He retired 25 years ago and moved to Thousand Oaks.

Wrong church--An obituary Friday listed the wrong church for the funeral of John Jaco. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Christian Church of Thousand Oaks, where Jaco was a member.

He belonged to the First Christian Church of Newbury Park.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Jaco of Thousand Oaks.

Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church. Burial follows in the Valley Oaks Cemetery.
