When Hollywood Park spent about $700,000 to implode the vacant hotel on a corner of the track’s parking lot last Sunday, Richard Mandella, who trains Advancing Star, said that his horses weren’t bothered. “We turned up the stereo music to play it safe,” Mandella said.
