Valleywide : Sunny, Dry Weather in Week’s Forecast

The coming week should be temperate and dry throughout the San Fernando Valley, the National Weather Service said Sunday.
“The good news is that there will be no rain in the foreseeable future,” said meteorologist David Gomberg. “We pulled out the showers, so expect high clouds and mostly sunny weather.”
Last week’s rains left most parts of the Valley with between 3/4-inch and an inch of rain, Gomberg said. But this week should mark a shift back to seasonable weather, with daily highs in the mid-60s to lower 70s.
“At night, it’s going to get quite chilly,” Gomberg said. “For the San Fernando Valley, it will be anywhere from the mid-30s to the lower 40s.”
Patchy night and early-morning fog are also on tap for the week. Last week’s high winds are expected to dwindle over the next few days, returning to normal light sea breezes.
For today, Van Nuys should expect a high of 70 and a low of 40. Burbank’s forecast looks much the same, with a high of 69 and a low of 43. It will be a little cooler in Woodland Hills, with a high of 69 and a low of 36, Gomberg said.
