UCI Falls in Holiday Tournament
Baylor used a 15-4 run in the first half to pull away and beat UC Irvine, 68-57, in the Baylor Holiday women’s basketball tournament Wednesday in Waco, Texas.
UC Irvine’s Allah-mi Basheer made a 14-foot jumper to cut the lead to 16-14, but Baylor then went on the run and led, 31-18, with 3 minutes 25 seconds left in the half.
Basheer and Leticia Oseguera each had 18 points for the Anteaters (4-3). Oseguera also had 15 rebounds.
