Woman in Serious Condition After Being Shot Downtown
An Indonesian woman remained in serious condition Friday after she was struck by a bullet apparently intended for one of the men in front of her on a downtown Los Angeles sidewalk, police said.
Harni Tantri, 27, was walking on West 7th Street, approaching South Figueroa Street, with other people from Indonesia when the shooting occurred shortly after noon Thursday, LAPD Det. Tim Dotson said.
The intended victims ran from the scene, Dotson said, and the gunman fled in a blue car.
Tantri, who had planned to go to Disneyland on Friday, was in serious condition at Los Angeles County County-USC Medical Center.
