WEST HILLS — One man was killed and another seriously injured in a single-car accident late Saturday, Los Angeles officials said.
Authorities said the two men were traveling at high speed southbound on Platt Avenue at about 11:50 p.m. when their sports car crashed into a wall and a light pole near Highlander Road.
The passenger, Stuart Levine, 30, of Woodland Hills, was pronounced dead at Northridge Hospital Medical Center shortly after the accident, said Officer Norman Nagengast of the LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division.
The driver, Dimitrios Flevotomos, 18, also of Woodland Hills, was airlifted to Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills in critical condition, authorities said.
No charges were filed against Flevotomos as of Sunday pending further investigation, police said.
