Oklahoma State Shoots Down Cal State Northridge, 91-58

Chianti Roberts scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Oklahoma State defeated Cal State Northridge, 91-58, on Wednesday.

Cal State Northridge (4-12) led, 16-10, with 11:55 to play in the first half.

Oklahoma State came back and regained the lead for good at the 8:07 mark on Chad Alexander’s 21-foot jump shot that put the Cowboys (10-4) up, 22-20.

The Cowboys went on to lead by as many as 11 points before taking a 40-30 lead into halftime.

Alexander finished with a career-high 18 points, 13 in the first half. Jason Skaer added 16 points for the Cowboys and Adrian Peterson 12.

Tom Samson and Damion Morbley each scored 14 points for the Matadors and Eric Gray added 12.

Oklahoma State outrebounded Cal State Northridge, 51-33, and shot 47%. The Cowboys held the Matadors to 36%, or 23 of 64 shots.

The victory was the Cowboys’ 62nd consecutive nonconference victory at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
