It’s Quite a Knight for Stanford in 94-74 Victory Over Oregon

Guard Brevin Knight scored 30 points as Stanford continued its winning ways at Maples Pavilion with a 94-74 victory over Oregon Thursday night in a Pacific 10 Conference game.

David Harbour added 16 points and Dion Cross 11 for the Cardinal.

Stanford (9-4 overall, 3-2 in the Pacific 10) has won 31 of its last 37 home games, including all seven this season. Oregon (9-6, 2-2) lost at Stanford for the 10th consecutive time.

Knight scored 11 of his points during a 22-6 run in the second half that gave the Cardinal its biggest lead of the game at 63-44 with 10:35 remaining. The Ducks could get no closer than 14 points the rest of the way.

Knight made eight of 12 shots from the field and 11 of 12 free throws.

Forward David Harbour had 16 points for Stanford. Guard Terik Brown led Oregon with 18.

California 70, Oregon State 52--The Bears (9-4, 4-1) cruised to victory at Harmon Gym though high-scoring freshman Shareef Abdur-Rahim had his lowest point total of the season (11).

Abdur-Rahim, tied for sixth in the nation in scoring at 24.3 points a game, took only six shots from the field and scored all five of his second-half points on free throws.

Guard Ed Gray did his usual job of providing points off the bench for California with a game-high 23.

The Bears led, 45-28, at halftime, and had several leads of 19 points in the second half. The Beavers (3-10, 1-3) could get no closer than 11 points in the second half.
