In Golden State Athletic Conference men’s basketball:

Westmont 86, Concordia 71--After leading by two at the half, host Westmont (13-7, 5-1 in conference) pulled out to a 10-point lead for much of the second. Pharoah Jones scored 21 points for the Eagles (15-6, 4-2), who were playing without point guard Danny Barajas. Barajas was suspended for one game for breaking a team rule.

In Big West Conference women’s basketball:

Long Beach State 95, Nevada 88 (2 OT)--Long Beach State outscored Nevada, 11-4, in the second overtime. Akia Hardy scored 25 points and Ja’Net Davis scored 22 points for the 49ers (9-8, 4-4). Katrina Crenshaw scored 23 points for Nevada (4-11, 2-6).

UC Irvine 76, San Jose State 69--Senior Allah-mi Basheer had 26 points and 10 rebounds and sophomore Leticia Oseguera had 21 points and 10 rebounds for UC Irvine (9-8, 4-4).

In Big West Conference women’s gymnastics:

Cal State Fullerton 190.275, San Jose State 188.950--The Titans did not win any event, but won the meet with strong performances from its deep squad.
