STILL SHAKING: More than two years after the Northridge earthquake, the aftershocks continue. The latest: a magnitude-3.8 shaker at 10:34 a.m. Tuesday, four miles northwest of San Fernando, according to Caltech seismologists. . . . “I think it’s just part of California,” sighed Tracie Michaels, owner of Sylmar Equestrian Center, where a few horses bolted from a barn.
BE PREPARED: No damage or injuries were reported from Tuesday’s quake, one of nearly 13,000 aftershocks of the 6.7-magnitude earthquake on Jan. 17, 1994. . . . But these little ones are a good preparedness reminder, says Kris Minzey of the Sylmar Chamber of Commerce: “They keep me on my toes,” she said.
