. . . Pounding waves forced the closure of the Huntington Beach and Seal Beach piers.
Fifteen-foot waves caused damage to pier pilings and support beams at the two recently renovated piers, which had been severely damaged three years earlier. “This is Mother Nature,” said Huntington Beach lifeguard Steve Seim. “She can tear down anything.”
