3 Held in Early Morning Robbery

Three suspected gang members were arrested early Friday in Thousand Oaks for stealing a wallet, $17 in cash and a pair of pants from three victims they threatened with a crowbar, police said.

William Anaya, 21, of Simi Valley, Alvaro Casanova, 23, and his wife Emily Casanova, 21, both of Agoura, were arrested by Simi Valley police on California 23 at Avenida de los Arboles at about 1:30 a.m.

The victims, who had just left Side Pocket Billiards in Simi Valley, were confronted by Anaya and Alvaro Casanova, police said. The suspects identified themselves as being part of a Thousand Oaks gang, and the victims, who police said have no gang affiliation, did not resist, authorities said.

Taken were a wallet, money and a pair of pants that another victim was carrying under his arm, police said.

The three were stopped after their vehicle was identified by Simi Valley police.

They were booked into Ventura County Jail on $50,000 bail each.
