Marc Anspach

Fullerton, Sophomore

Baseball/First base

Anspach, from Brea Olinda High, was five for nine in two games. He came up twice with the bases loaded Saturday against Saddleback and was successful each time. He had a a three-run double in the second inning and a grand slam in the fifth as Fullerton rolled to a 30-9 victory in the Orange Empire Conference opener. Anspach started the week hitting .325 with 16 runs batted in.

Swimming

Scott Wester

* Golden West, freshman. He won three individual events and was part of winning relay team as the Rustlers won the South of the Border meet with 622 points.

Monica Geraci

Orange Coast, Sophomore

Basketball/Guard

Geraci, from Huntington Beach High, made the most of a rare start Saturday when OCC played host to Santa Monica in the first round of the Southern California playoffs. Geraci, normally the first reserve guard, scored a career-high 21 points and had nine assists, nine steals and eight rebounds as OCC won, 89-61. She was playing in place of Adrienne Botana, who has a sore ankle.

Basketball

Jennifer Nakanishi

* Irvine Valley, sophomore. She scored 15 points and had 11 assists as the Lasers beat Mt. San Antonio, 70-57, in their first playoff game.
