The Minnesota Timberwolves had the biggest comeback in their 6 1/2-year history, rallying from 25 points down to beat the Charlotte Hornets, 105-101, Friday night at Minneapolis.

It was also a record for the Hornets, but not one they’d want to talk about. It was the largest blown lead in Charlotte’s 7 1/2-year history.

Minnesota’s biggest previous comeback victory was from a 24-point deficit in a 124-122 overtime win over the Houston Rockets in 1992, the game that cost Coach Don Chaney his job and led the Rockets to hire Rudy Tomjanovich.

Michael Jordan scored 17 for Chicago but left the game with 7:10 remaining after bruising his left knee and his left elbow in a fall. Jordan went to the bench to ice his injuries, which did not appear serious.

Dallas 119, Vancouver 111--The Mavericks set another league three-point record, attempting 44 shots from behind the arc at Vancouver.

Dallas hit 16 of the 44. George McCloud finished with 32 points for the Mavericks, including seven three-pointers.

Blue Edwards led the Grizzlies with the first triple-double in team history--15 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists.

Seattle 106, Boston 96--Shawn Kemp had nine points and seven rebounds before leaving because of a sprained foot after 11 minutes at Boston, but the SuperSonics still won their 12th consecutive game and 18th in their last 19.
